A Friendly Reminder For Pets Having Surgery. . . .

All Surgical procedures must be performed on an empty stomach to reduce/eliminate vomiting under and after the anesthesia. Your pet should be dropped off with us before 5:30 P.M. the night before surgery. However, if you are dropping off your pet between 8:00 A.M. and 8:30 A.M. the morning of the surgery, please don't forget: Please withhold his or her food and water atleast 12 hours before you drop off on the morning of surgery.

Surgery DogBecause your pet's safety is our number one priority, we require that all surgical patients have pre-anesthetic bloodwork done prior to undergoing anesthesia. Dr. Skees performs all surgical procedures with monitoring devices, sterilized instruments, and modern equipment.

From the time that your pet drifts off into sleep, until the moment that he/she wakes up, there is always a vet technician close by, monitoring your pet as he/she comes-to from surgery. We strive to ensure that your pet has the best possible experience while staying with us. If you have any 'special requests' while your pet is in our care, please notify the receptionist at the front desk so they can make the proper arrangements.
